Resurrect is a Carlsbad company marketing a beverage under the same name positioned for "daily detox and recovery (from hangover). The promotional material says the product is full of 22 vitamins, electrolytes, herbs and antioxidants. The ingredient list looks pretty healthy - except for the caffeine which is said to be "used for its vasodilatation properties to increase the absorption rate of Resurrect formula of vitamins, herbs, electrolytes and antioxidants."
When I saw the product in Boney's it was selling for $21.9 a 16oz can. There are lots of newer beverages playing at this or higher price points. Many seem to be positioned as energy drinks and must by using caffeine to stimulate the consumer.
The company's web site indicates distribution is limited at this time. It will be interesting to see if Resurrect can, with its unique positioning, compete with the many other high-priced new alternatives.
