I've seen a sign for Carlsbad Community Garden on Laguna, behind the Cole Library and adjacent to the Carlsbad Arts offices.
The sign says "Authorized Gardeners Only". It isn't clear if and how one can secure gardening space.
Community Garden Information
The Carlsbad Community Garden is on Laguna behind the Cole Library. It appears to be the only such facility in Carlsbad.
At present, all plots are rented and there's a waiting list. Plots rent for $60 a year, the year beginning February1. The fee includes the rental and water. One is responsible for one's own drip system.
To get on the waiting list, contact the Carlsbad Parks Department. A representative tells me the wait may be 1-2 years.
