Putting packaging in with recyclables?When people place cans, bottles and such in the recycle bins, they often include a plastic or paper bag, or, in the case of beer cans the chipboard and corrugated containers. Is this really proper? Shouldn't they just place the recyclable items in the bins without these containers? |

It's OK
Coast Waste Management says it's OK to include packaging that itself is recyclable such as corrugated. There does seem to be some inconsistency in that corrugated, for example, is not one of the listed items. However, I gather that the packaging you mention will not cause problems for Coast Management.
